Homeless & rough sleeping outreach
In September 2024 Noongar Mia Mia joined the Homeless Engagement Assessment Response Team (HEART), supporting people who are sleeping rough in Boorloo/Perth, led by St Pat’s in partnership with Indigo Junction and Uniting WA.
Our Assertive Outreach Workers Kevin and Cindy share a passion for helping people and deep experience supporting our mob in various community roles and have been doing a fantastic job reaching out to our mob who are sleeping rough…as you will read below!
HEART provides rapid, flexible outreach and intensive support primarily for people who are chronic rough sleepers across the Perth metro region – and now extended to include Rockingham and Mandurah – connecting them with local services and programs in their area and supporting them into accommodation.
The team is currently funded by the Department of Communities to 2025
