Jasmine Kadic

Chair

Jasmine is a Whadjuk/Ballardong woman from a long line of strong Noongar leaders and Elders. She has held management positions in the health and construction industries, with passion and drive for Aboriginal economic and social development. Jasmine is the Managing Director of and co-founder of Benang, consisting of infrastructure construction, and its staffing and professional services arm, Ergon.

Jasmine is a MURRA alumni from the University of Melbourne Business School, a Board member for Zonta House Refuge Association, acting WA Director for NATSIHA and a member of Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Tina Ugle

(nee Pickett)

Managing Director

Tina is a proud Ballardong/Whadjuk/Yued woman, who grew up in Perth. She worked in Indigenous Affairs with State and Commonwealth Government agencies for over 30 years and was Regional Manager of Aboriginal Hostels from 2010 to 2016. She joined the NMM Board in 2015 and became Managing Director in 2016, bringing extensive experience in accommodation, research and evaluation, training and assessment, governance, operations and business management.

Tina is member of the WA Housing First Homelessness Advisory Group, Perth Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation Working Group and the WA Alliance to End Homelessness. She became a founding Board member of NATSIHA in 2022.

Laurel Sellers

Treasurer & Director, Housing Sustainability

Laurel is proud member of the Noongar nation, born on her grandmother’s country of Wagyl Kaip at Katanning. She also has extensive family connections in the Pilbara and other regions of WA. Following 20 years working in State and Commonwealth government roles, Laurel has been CEO of Yorgum Healing Services since 2014.

Laurel has managed many key Aboriginal programs and projects across WA related to housing and community development. She also managed the Aboriginal Visitors Scheme for the WA Department of Corrective Services. Laurel is also a founding member of the Noongar Family Safety & Wellbeing Council and a board member of the WA Council of Social Services (WACOSS).

Wayne Nannup

Director
Legal & Compliance 

Wayne Nannup is the Chief Executive Officer of the Aboriginal Legal Service of WA Ltd (ALSWA). With family connections to Western Australia’s South West, Pilbara, Goldfields, Mid-West and Kimberley regions, Wayne brings a wealth of experience to the role and a strong commitment to the complex issues facing First Nations Peoples within the justice system. Dedicated to working with and for communities, Wayne is a Director of both Noongar Mia Mia and IronMerge.

Wayne’s former roles include Relationships Australia Director, Institute of Indigenous Wellbeing and Sport WA Chair, Aboriginal Housing Recovery Centre Ltd CEO and South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council CEO.

Denise Conway

Director
Home Ownership

Denise is a proud Ballardong woman, who grew up in the Wheatbelt of WA on the Beverly Native Reserve before moving to Perth. She has worked with Aboriginal people state-wide in the government, business, education and housing sectors for over 40 years. She is currently employed as the Manager of the Aboriginal Home Ownership Scheme at Keystart, promoting the scheme state-wide and supporting home loans for Aboriginal customers.

Denise brings experience in lending and financial services, not-for-profit organisations, career development, coaching, government and program evaluation.

Les Oakley

Deputy chair & director, asset management

A proud Malgana Yamatji man from the region of Shark Bay/Gutharraguda, Les is a seasoned professional in the built environment sector. Les is a passionate advocate for indigenous representation and cultural awareness within the built environment sector to recognise the importance of preserving the heritage and stories of ancestors while also embracing modern advancements to create sustainable and vibrant spaces for future generations.

Les firmly believes in the power of collaboration and open dialogue to bridge the gap between cultures and create spaces that honour the past while embracing the future.
